This volume, edited by Denise Parkinson, presents John Trist’s own story, diary and notes for an official report that was never published.  John Trist was a crucial figure in the recovery of Suffolk farmland following the 1953 floods.  His dedication earned him an OBE.  Trist’s observations and reflections of these events shine through in his writing and show the resilience of the farming community in East Suffolk.
