06 Aug BALH Dymond Lecture 2022
Our first Lecture was given on an evening in early December 2021 by Professor Andrew Hopper who kindly agreed to speak about his research on the human costs of the British Civil Wars of the seventeenth century. It was hosted by our President, Professor Caroline Barron via Zoom.
The second Dymond Lecture will be held in early December 2022, again via Zoom. The event will be free for BALH members with a small charge for non-members (reduced for members of our member societies). Look out for the initial online announcement of this year’s speaker, their topic and the date of the lecture during the summer. A print notice will follow in the September edition of Local History News. We are excited to host another lecture of excellent academic quality and look forward to revealing more information to our members in due course.
